You worship distortion. I worship distortion. We can be friends. Sometimes you just want to sit and soak up the guitar tone. Sustain, sustain. This is death metal, obviously. It goes slow and it goes fast. It has its roots in the deep-dark diabolical arts of Incantation and the depraved execution of Obituary. The riffs are delicious. The vocals gnaw the edges of rasp, but generally consume corpse. You know how sometimes the fast parts of death metal albums sound weak compared to the chuggy chunks? Sickness Particles Gleam isn't like that. Blastbeats never dull the serrated edges, as Donald Tardy taught us. Amidst the mayhem, atmospheric, ambient dread insulates your from over-stimulation so you can go all the way to hell.
