Manic, masterful tech-thrash exuberance. Exploding with guileless, youthful fervor and wall-to-wall riffs. Recalls the frenzied madness of early Vektor, before they sailed off into cosmic liquefaction. Dashes of death certainly appear, manifesting as hammered on harmonies with with Cannibal Corpse-style mirrored bass lines. The vocals are made of throat-ripping rage, and pair perfectly with the pointillist, free-ranging rhythms. Despite the death-race pace, there’s lots of space for drums, bass, grooves, and broken necks. You'll hear threads of The Haunted in their infancy, and yes, some of this cacophony approaches the imaginary red line of “mainstream metal.” But what fucking chump cares about that? Xenoblight have had their facehugging proboscis all up my ears, and I’m ready to burst.
